Kids Practice (Monday-Thursday) and Races (Fridays): Halloween Race cancelled due to rain sorry!

We will meet regardless of the weather unless there is rain or lightning, but sometimes we are out of town and cancel practice so check the "Practice Calendar" to see dates we will not meet.  Please RSVP to 801-231-2000 at least 1 hour in advanced if possible so we can be sure to have enough treats and supplies. 

We will try to have hot cocoa when it is under 60 degrees!  We will try to have popsicles, water, and water balloons to throw at the ground (not each other without consent) whenever it is over 60 degrees!

Practice Time: 4:00-4:30pm.  Feel free to stay at the park and play at the playgrounds afterwards.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays Mary Ann needs to leave right at 4:30 pm to get to her adult running club but everyone else can stay to play as long as they wish.

Monday: Paul Ream Wilderness Park to Riverside Park and back.  The water station will be closer to the parking lot on the east side of the park.  We will try to bring oats to feed the ducks afterwards and anyone who wants to explore the secret trail around the park afterwards is welcome!  (0.8 miles total).  

Tuesday: Exchange Park play ground to Diversion Dam Filter near Columbia Lane and back (0.5 miles total).  

Wednesday: Provo River Delta Gateway Park, 311 Lakeshore Dr.  We will run west on the south side of the Provo River to Lakeview Parkway and back (0.5 miles total) on muddy days, but if there is no mud we will run on the wooded dirt trail heading east along the south side of the river.

Thursday: Riverside Park playground to 1050 W 800 N and back (0.6 mi total).  Practice will end right at 4:30 pm so that any adults who need to get to BYU Running Club at 5 pm can get there in time.

Friday: Kiwanis Park from 4:00-4:15 pm.  Run 1-2 laps around a flagged loop approximately 150m for a prize with a colorful blowup finish line and music!  Cash prizes for the top male and female age division winners of each heat for all kids ages 4 and up, and all finishers also get a prize from the prize bin!  Kids can run in multiple heats, and join heats that are not for their age but if they run in a heat with kids who are younger than them they may not beat the fastest child who is their gender who is the correct age for that heat (for example if an older sibling wants to encourage a younger sibling they may run with them but not beat them so they don't discourage the younger child).  It will not be timed.   For age division races, we will have bibs to pin onto the front of each child's shirt with their age and a place for you to write their name on it.

4:00 pm All kids run 1 lap together, everyone gets a prize from the prize bin

4:03 pm age 3 & under: 1 lap (all finishers get a prize from the prize bin)

4:04 pm age 4: 1 lap (winners get 4 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:05 pm age 5: 1 lap (winners get 5 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:06 pm age 6: 1 lap (winners get 6 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:07 pm age 7: 2 laps (winners get 7 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:08 pm age 8: 2 laps (winners get 8 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:09 pm age 9: 2 laps (winners get 9 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:10 pm age 10: 2 laps (winners get 10 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:11 pm age 11: 2 laps (winners get 11 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:12 pm age 12+: 2 laps (winners get 12 nickels plus a prize from the prize bin, all other finishers get one nickel and a prize from the prize bin)

4:13 pm All kids run together, everyone gets a prize from the prize bin!

4:14 pm free play time on the play ground or at the park!
